Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown recently made some interesting comments on Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, implying that the 31-year-old made a mistake by leaving the Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Brown said it’s “not nice in Miami” for an active player because it’s a “distraction” and argued that Hill would be better off playing in Kansas City, where one can “focus on football” and “win.”

On Saturday, Hill penned a reaction on X. He showed love to Brown but said he won’t be taking his advice.

Hill spent his first six NFL seasons with the Chiefs and established himself as a star there. In the 2019 season, he even helped Kansas City to a Super Bowl victory.

But Hill eventually requested a trade from the Chiefs, and he seemingly had some say in where he landed. In the end, he joined the Dolphins.

Since switching from Kansas City to Miami, Hill has experienced some ups and downs.

In his first two seasons with the Dolphins, he had the best two years of his NFL career from a receiving yardage standpoint. He had over 1,700 receiving yards in each campaign.

But this past season, he didn’t look like his best self as he played through injury. He finished the campaign with under 1,000 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins haven’t won a playoff game during his time with the team. They made the playoffs but failed to advance any further in each of his first two seasons with them, then they failed to make the playoffs altogether in his third season.

Hill has also been mixed up in controversy at times during his Dolphins tenure. For example, after Miami was eliminated from playoff contention this past season, he hinted at being done with the team, a possibility that he has since walked back on.

Complicating matters is the fact that the Chiefs have won two championships since he left, so he may feel like he’s missed out on some history in Kansas City.

Hopefully, he and the Dolphins will be a part of the Super Bowl conversation in the 2025 season as they look to wash away the taste of their 2024 campaign.
