Tyreek Hill makes series of posts raising more speculation about his future beyond Miami Dolphins

On Thursday, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill took to X as reporting surfaced on Delaware State University hiring former Philadelphia Eagles star receiver DeSean Jackson to coach its football team. Hill congratulated Jackson and dropped another hint about what his future might look like following his NFL career.

Just days before the Dolphins came out on top over the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 22, Hill made a post on X that indicated he wants to become a coach. He later clarified his comments and admitted that he has no desire to leave the team at the moment.

But on Friday, more fuel was added to the fire regarding his uncertain future in Miami after he responded via Snapchat to some betting odds about him landing with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Whether Hill sticks with the Dolphins, lands with a new team or ends up coaching in the future, one thing is clear: that he loves to stir the pot.

Hill has the playing experience to transition to the coaching ranks more seamlessly than most would. He’s spent almost a decade in the league now and knows what it takes to play and win at a high level.

The 30-year-old won a Super Bowl while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs and has put together some of the better receiving seasons in modern NFL history during his stint with the Dolphins.

But even with Hill’s coaching desires, NFL fans probably shouldn’t be expecting a retirement announcement from him anytime soon. He still seemingly has a lot left to give at the highest level. That’s one reason why the idea of him landing with a team like the Chargers is intriguing.

Although Hill is having a down year by his standards, he is still leading the Dolphins in receiving yards (834) and receiving yards per game (55.6) while holding a share of the team lead for receiving touchdowns (six).

A few days ago, Hill scored a receiving touchdown against the 49ers in a game the Dolphins won to keep their playoff hopes alive this season.

The eight-time Pro Bowler can help the Dolphins get back to the .500 mark with a victory over the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 29.

Fortunately for Hill and company, the Browns have been one of the worst teams in the NFL in the 2024 regular season. Cleveland’s record of 3-12 ranks dead last in the AFC North division, and the Browns haven’t won a single game since they pulled off an upset against the Pittsburgh Steelers more than a month ago on Nov. 21.
