Miami Dolphins provide mixed bag of injury updates for Buffalo Bills game

The Miami Dolphins gave a number of injury updates, both good and bad, on several players ahead of Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

This contest figures to be particularly important to Miami’s playoff hopes, but it won’t be an easy matchup, as the Bills currently sit atop the AFC East division with a record of 6-2.

For one, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel suggested that defensive tackle Zach Sieler will not play against Buffalo. Sieler suffered an eye injury in practice late last month.

As for perhaps Miami’s best player dealing with an injury at the moment in Tyreek Hill, McDaniel had more positive news on him.

He shared that the expectation is for Hill to suit up against the Dolphins’ divisional rivals, and the same goes for fullback Alec Ingold.

Hill racked up 72 receiving yards on six receptions, meaning he averaged 12.0 receiving yards per reception, in the Dolphins’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals back on Oct. 27.

Additionally, McDaniel admitted that he’s pessimistic about Jevon Holland’s chances of playing on Sunday. The safety — who has logged six starts for the Dolphins so far this season — is dealing with a knee injury.

Wide receiver River Cracraft is another player who was mentioned as part of the injury updates. Cracraft hasn’t played in any of Miami’s regular-season games to this point after he appeared in 10 games and logged one start in the 2023 regular season.

Finally, tight end Julian Hill and cornerback Kader Kohou have both been ruled out for Miami’s upcoming contest.

The Dolphins will try to snap their two-game losing streak with a victory on Sunday. They desperately need a win to get their season back on track.

Before losing to the Cardinals by a final score of 28-27 in quarterback Tua Tagovailia’s first start in more than a month, Miami also picked up a loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 20.

If the Dolphins were to lose their third straight game on Sunday, they’d fall to 2-6 on the season.
