Miami Dolphins list 8 players as questionable or doubtful for Week 7 matchup

With the Miami Dolphins’ Week 7 contest against the Indianapolis Colts coming up on Sunday, Miami revealed its final injury report, and eight players on the team in total are either questionable or doubtful to take the field.

The Colts are also dealing with some injuries of their own.

Safety Jevon Holland is the only player on Miami’s injury report with a game status of doubtful. He hasn’t missed a single one of the Dolphins’ regular-season games to this point, but he is nursing a hand injury at the moment.

The seven Dolphins players listed as questionable are cornerback Cam Smith (hamstring), wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring/personal), long snapper Blake Ferguson (personal), tackle Austin Jackson (back), linebacker David Long Jr. (knee), linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah (bicep) and quarterback Skylar Thompson (ribs).

Beckham is a name on Miami’s injury report that may stand out to fans of the team. He made his Dolphins debut in the team’s win over the New England Patriots on Oct. 6, but he was a nonfactor in the victory. Beckham finished with zero receiving yards and zero receptions.

Thompson is another seemingly noteworthy name on the injury report, though quarterback Tyler Huntley is likely to start against the Colts regardless of Thompson’s status.

Thompson played in two games and started one earlier this season. He didn’t exactly turn heads in the third start of his NFL career, however. While he was pretty accurate, he threw for just 107 yards before he went down with his rib injury, and the Dolphins mustered just three points in a game they lost by 21.

On Sunday, the Dolphins will try to pick up their second win in a row, and they’ll look to do it against a Colts team that has been in a groove lately after a slow start to the season. Indianapolis started the campaign out 0-2, but since then, the squad has a 3-1 record with wins over the Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans.
