Terron Armstead reveals powerful text message he received from Tyreek Hill after detainment

Miami Dolphins tackle Terron Armstead revealed Tyreek Hill’s demeanor shortly after police detained him along with a text message he received from the wide receiver in light of the incident.

According to Armstead, when Hill entered the Dolphins’ locker room ahead of the team’s matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he was quite angry about what had transpired.

Hill was detained outside of Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 8 for a traffic violation. Police decided to detain Hill with him face down on the ground and in handcuffs.

He received a citation from law enforcement for careless driving and another for a seatbelt violation.

Defensive tackle Calais Campbell — who is the oldest player on the Dolphins — was detained along with Hill, and he argued that police used excessive force against his teammate. Campbell alleges that he was placed in handcuffs as well after the police told him he had disobeyed a direct order.

Despite the traffic stop, both Hill and Campbell played in the Dolphins’ win over the Jaguars. The former accumulated 130 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown, while the latter finished with three solo tackles and a sack.

Campbell, Hill and the Dolphins snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat, considering the team trailed Jacksonville by a score of 17-7 at halftime. Perhaps a win wouldn’t have been feasible for Miami if it weren’t for the play of its defensive unit in the second half of the contest.

The Dolphins’ defense didn’t give up a single point to the Jaguars in each of the final two quarters. Conversely, Miami’s offense scored 13 points during that span.

Campbell and Hill were in a stressful situation not long before the two took the field for the Dolphins, but it didn’t seem to take them out of their games. Here’s hoping that they will be able to put the traffic stop behind them and focus on the new 2024 regular season.
