Antonio Brown clowns Tua’s postgame fit: ‘Dressed like he gonna take my luggage at an all-inclusive resort’

Former NFL receiver Antonio Brown took a shot at Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for his outfit following the Dolphins’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

It’s not out of character for Brown to take unsolicited shots on social media, as he’s become very active on X (formerly known as Twitter) in his post-playing career.

An All-Pro receiver in his prime, Brown’s career trajectory tanked after he was dealt by the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The former star receiver never ended up never playing a snap for the Raiders, but he would later find his way onto the New England Patriots, appearing in one game for them during the 2019 season.

Then, in the 2020 season when Tom Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brown found himself back in the NFL. He appeared in eight games that season for the Bucs and ended up winning a Super Bowl with the franchise.

Tampa brought Brown back for the 2021 season, but he ended up cutting his time there short when he left a game against the New York Jets early. That incident ended his tenure with the team.

Brown can be a bit of a loose cannon, as seen at the end of his NFL career, but it’s strange that he decided to come after Tagovailoa.

The Dolphins quarterback helped lead his team to a Week 1 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, throwing for 338 yards and one touchdown. He also added one carry for 11 yards.

Miami fell behind early on Sunday, but an 80-yard touchdown pass from Tagovailoa to Tyreek Hill in the third quarter helped the Dolphins cut their deficit from 17-7 to 17-14. From there, Jason Sanders made a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter, including one as time expired, to give the Dolphins their first win of the 2024 season.

Tagovailoa has helped lead the Dolphins to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, and he’s looking to do so again in the 2024 campaign. Miami has a key matchup in Week 2 against a division opponent in the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.

Brown may decide to react to Tagovailoa after that game as well, but the Dolphins quarterback appears to only be focused on football in the 2024 season.
