Linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah uploaded a video to Instagram after news surfaced of his decision to return to the Miami Dolphins on a one-year contract worth up to $5 million.

Prior to reuniting with the Dolphins, Ogbah allegedly received interest from the Kansas City Chiefs, who are the defending Super Bowl champions.
Emmanuel Ogbah had interest elsewhere including from the Chiefs, per source, but returns back to Dolphins where he had 24.5 sacks in last 4 seasons in Miami.
Dolphins change in DC to Anthony Weaver should provide a better fit and more opportunities for Ogbah. https://t.co/iNOKj1xvJc

Ogbah has played for three NFL teams โ the Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Chiefs โ since he was selected by the Browns in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He spent the first three seasons of his pro career with the Browns before his one-season stint with Kansas City and current stint with the Dolphins.
Ogbah appeared in 15 of Miami’s 17 games during the 2023 regular season (one start) and racked up 20 combined tackles, 13 assisted tackles, seven solo tackles, three tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits in his fourth season as a member of the Dolphins. He also totaled an impressive 5.5 sacks.
While Ogbah perhaps didn’t have a major role on the Dolphins in the 2023 campaign like he did earlier on in his tenure in Miami, he still served as a productive defensive player in spurts for a Miami team that finished with an 11-6 record, which was tied with the Buffalo Bills for the best record of any team in the AFC East division.
But Ogbah has yet to win a playoff game since he joined the Dolphins several years ago. Earlier this year, Miami lost its first playoff game to the Chiefs, as Patrick Mahomes and Isiah Pacheco carved up the Dolphins’ defense.
Mahomes threw for 262 yards without registering a single interception, and Pacheco led the way for Kansas City from a rushing standpoint with 89 rushing yards along with one rushing touchdown. The Chiefs scored 26 points as a team while the Dolphins mustered just seven.
Here’s to hoping that next year will be the year that Ogbah helps the Dolphins win their first playoff game since the year 2000, which was over two decades ago now.
