Video: Jakeem Grant Shows Off Insane Speed and Agility in Latest Practice Session

In preparation for his fifth season as a member of the Miami Dolphins, Jakeem Grant recently showed off an array of moves that put his incredible speed and agility on display.

The diminutive Grant, who stands just 5-foot-7, was a sixth-round pick by the Dolphins in the 2016 draft and has caught only 64 passes in the 52 games he’s played for the team.

Possessing blazing speed, Grant has made more of an impact during his NFL career as a return man, beginning with a 74-yard punt runback against the Tennessee Titans during his rookie campaign.

During the 2018 season-opener against those same Titans, Grant returned a kick 102 yards for a touchdown, before also running back a 101-yard kick against the Buffalo Bills last November.

In both of the past two seasons, Grant’s season has abruptly ended due to injury. A foot injury against the Green Bay Packers sidelined him in 2018, followed by a high-ankle sprain last year against the Cleveland Browns.

That 2018 injury was originally feared to be an Achilles tear, but proved to be of a less serious nature.

Last August, the Dolphins maintained their faith in Grant by extending his contract for four seasons, a deal that’s worth up to $24 million.

Right now, staying healthy and becoming a bigger part of the Dolphins’ passing attack are Grant’s goals, with his current efforts hopefully paying off during the season.
