Tyreek’s recent social media activity may hint at move he wants Dolphins to make

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s activity on X might hint that he wants the team to bring back fellow receiver Jarvis Landry, who earned three Pro Bowl appearances with the team earlier in his career.

Hill liked a post on X from journalist Omar Kelly in which the idea of the Dolphins reuniting with Landry was raised.

Before spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Dolphins — who drafted him in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft — Landry played a few seasons of college football at Louisiana State University.

Landry accumulated 1,193 receiving yards in the 2013 season, his third season with the Tigers, doing wonders for his draft stock.

Fast forward to his fourth and final season as a member of the Dolphins, the 2017 campaign, and he totaled a league-best 112 receptions to go along with 987 receiving yards, nine receiving touchdowns and 62 first downs receiving.

Landry also had two seasons with the Dolphins in which he exceeded 1,000 receiving yards.

But the 31-year-old didn’t play a single game for an NFL team in the 2023 season. He most recently appeared in nine games with the New Orleans Saints back in the 2022 season and ended up with 272 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. His longest reception during his season with the Saints went for 40 yards.

Hill’s like on X implies that he is a fan of Landry, which says a lot considering the 30-year-old knows what it takes to be a star wide receiver in the NFL.

In 16 games played with the Dolphins during the 2023 regular season, he managed to lead the league in three important stats: total receiving yards (1,799), receiving touchdowns (13) and receiving yards per game (112.4).

It would seemingly be a low-risk move for the Dolphins if they were to ink Landry to a contract before the start of the 2024 regular season. Even if he isn’t able to make a huge impact on the field, he could serve as a valuable presence in the team’s locker room.
