5-time Pro Bowler potentially indicates he’d be interested in Miami Dolphins reunion

Veteran wide receiver Jarvis Landry may have hinted on social media that he would be all for a reunion with the Miami Dolphins.

Landry’s most recent liked post on X is from Omar Kelly — a sports journalist — saying that he hopes the Dolphins sign the 31-year-old.

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill also liked the very same post, which might indicate that he wants Miami to sign Landry prior to the beginning of next season.

Landry is far removed from his four-season stint with Miami, as he hasn’t played for the Dolphins since he appeared in 16 games for them during the 2017 regular season.

But he was one of the more effective wide receivers in the NFL when he was with the Dolphins. For one, he accumulated 1,000-plus receiving yards twice across his four seasons with the team and came very close to achieving that feat three times, considering he totaled 987 receiving yards in the 2017 regular season.

In addition, after missing out on the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, Landry earned Pro Bowl nods in all of his last three seasons as a member of the Dolphins.

After starting his NFL career out with Miami, he had stints playing for the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints. Landry spent much more time playing for the former, as he played four seasons in Cleveland and just one in New Orleans.

He hasn’t taken the field for an NFL team since the 2022 regular season when he was a member of the Saints and played in just nine games.

While Landry would perhaps be a bit rusty if the Dolphins were to sign him (considering he didn’t participate in the 2023 season), he has a track record of being a very productive NFL wide receiver.

Furthermore, though he isn’t the youngster he was with the Dolphins early on in his NFL career, he would be far from the oldest player in the league right now at 31 years old.
