Mother of murdered Buffalo Bills fan at Miami Dolphins game begs for answers

The mother of a Buffalo Bills fan who was killed near Hard Rock Stadium after a Miami Dolphins game last month is asking the public to help find the person responsible.

Dylan Isaacs, a 30-year-old from Canada, was the victim of a shooting. His mother Susan spoke out at the Miami Gardens police station.

“Can’t carry any other feelings but hurt I feel for my son,” the elder Isaacs said. “It’ll never go away. I got to live this for the rest of my life.”

The game between the Bills and Dolphins was played Jan. 7. A preliminary investigation reportedly revealed that the younger Isaacs and friends were walking through traffic when an altercation escalated. Multiple rounds were fired, and the subject fled the scene.

Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information on the crime.

“Still looking, they’re still investigating,” the elder Isaacs said. “Come forward. Please, come forward. We need to heal as a family.”

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill responded to the shooting with a social media post. Miami lost the game to Buffalo in a result that decided the winner of the AFC East. The Dolphins’ season ended the next week with a loss at the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs.

The tragedy is not the only one that occurred at a Dolphins game this season. In September, Dale Mooney, a 53-year-old from New Hampshire, died after he was punched at Gillette Stadium during a game between the Dolphins and New England Patriots. Two Rhode Island residents reportedly were charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct by Foxborough Police in December.

The Dolphins completed the regular season with an 11-6 record and made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. The continued improvement of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led to Hall of Famer Peyton Manning forecasting a bright future for the franchise.

Miami has made a major change to its coaching staff by naming Anthony Weaver as its new defensive coordinator. The former Baltimore Ravens assistant coach is replacing Vic Fangio, who lasted just one season in the position. The Dolphins also reportedly are adding former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry to their staff.

This upcoming season, the Dolphins will try again to win the division for the first time since the 2008 season and get back to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1984 campaign.
