Bradley Chubb breaks silence after tearing ACL in Miami Dolphins-Baltimore Ravens game

The Miami Dolphins and Bradley Chubb had a weekend to forget, as the squad suffered an embarrassing defeat to the Baltimore Ravens and lost the pass rusher for the season in the process.

Chubb tore his ACL with just a few minutes remaining in what was a 49-19 game at the time.

The Dolphins will now have to find a way forward without the two-time Pro Bowler, and Chubb himself has a long road to recovery ahead. He recently took to Instagram to share a message following his injury.

The loss of Chubb is a tough pill to swallow for the Dolphins, especially given the fact that he likely didn’t need to be in the game at that juncture.

Fortunately, he seems to be maintaining a positive perspective, which is a good sign as he prepares to work through the injury.

In 16 games this season, the veteran totaled 74 combined tackles, 11 sacks, six forced fumbles, 11 tackles for loss and 22 quarterback hits. His production is going to be extremely difficult — if not impossible — for the Dolphins to replace as the playoffs approach.

The squad has one game remaining in the regular season before the playoffs arrive, and it’s an important one. The Dolphins are hosting the Buffalo Bills in Week 18 with the AFC East on the line.

Miami has already clinched a playoff spot, but the organization is trying to win its first division title since the 2008 season, and it’s just one victory away from doing so. The Dolphins will have to earn it, as the Bills have been one of the NFL’s hottest teams lately.

After the regular season wraps up, Miami will be looking to end another drought in its quest for a playoff win. The Dolphins haven’t won a playoff game since the 2000 season. Some fans aren’t old enough to remember the last time the franchise enjoyed a postseason victory.

Getting one without Chubb may be a tall task, but the fact that the team still has one game left in the regular season could be helpful, as it might give the Dolphins a chance to adjust to life without him.
