Tyreek Hill eggs C.J. Mosley on as New York Jets LB gets into social media spat with Blake Ferguson

Early in the fourth quarter of a matchup between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets on Nov. 24, Dolphins long snapper Blake Ferguson got into it with Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley.

Recently, the two players got into a spat on X (formerly known as Twitter) about the incident in question.

Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill chimed in on the social media interaction between Ferguson and Mosley.

Mosley — who is in his fourth season as a member of the Jets after spending his first five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens — put up gaudy defensive numbers for New York against the Dolphins. He accumulated 14 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defended.

Conversely, Hill had himself a productive game against the Jets. He totaled 102 receiving yards on nine receptions to go along with one receiving touchdown. Also, his longest reception was for 35 yards.

The 29-year-old didn’t finish with the most receiving yards of any player on the team, though. Jaylen Waddle — who is in his third season in the NFL and with the Dolphins franchise — racked up 114 receiving yards on eight receptions.

Thanks largely to the play of Hill and Waddle, the Dolphins beat the Jets by 21 points to improve their record to 8-3 so far this season. Miami now owns a comfortable two-game lead over the 6-5 Buffalo Bills for the best record in the AFC East division with six games remaining on the Dolphins’ regular-season schedule.

The Dolphins and Bills are the only two teams in the division right now with records above .500. The Jets own a poor 4-7 record and are on a four-game losing streak, while the New England Patriots own the worst record in the division at 2-9.

Mosley and Ferguson will have an opportunity to play against each other once again in the near future, as the Dolphins will take on the Jets at home on Dec. 17. It will be interesting to see if the current bad blood between the two players carries over into that matchup.
