Raheem Mostert’s agent criticizes NFL refs for ‘unwatchable’ Miami Dolphins-Kansas City Chiefs game

The Miami Dolphins had an ugly first half against the Kansas City Chiefs in their Week 9 bout, and Raheem Mostert’s agent didn’t seem too pleased with how the game was officiated.

Brett Tessler took to X (formerly Twitter) to seemingly express his frustrations with the referees’ calls that made the game “unwatchable” in his perspective.

The sports agent also apologized to the German crowd, as the marquee matchup was held in Frankfurt, Germany. For the second year in a row, the NFL has brought its product to the country, with the city of Munich hosting a battle between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks last season.

However, Tessler seems to believe the audience deserved a better show. Instead, penalties affected gameplay several times, with some of them going against the Dolphins. For example, Miami was called for a false start, with referee Clay Martin announcing the infraction in German.

In another instance, Tua Tagovailoa was penalized for intentional grounding in the second quarter. The Chiefs then got the ball back and scored a touchdown to take a 14-0 lead.

A Dolphins fumble near the end of the first half allowed Kansas City to score again, giving it a 21-0 cushion entering halftime.

Fortunately, Miami put on a show for the crowd in the third quarter, outscoring the Chiefs 14-0 to give the team a chance to pull off an upset. Tagovailoa found Cedrick Wilson Jr. for a touchdown at the 4:47 mark, and Mostert rushed for a 13-yard touchdown minutes later to close the gap to 21-14 before the end of the period.

However, the Dolphins were unable to pull off the comeback win. They had a great chance to tie things up late in the fourth quarter but were unable to score.

A win would’ve moved them to 7-2 on the season and given them more breathing room in their fight for the top spot in the AFC East. The Buffalo Bills are right behind them with a 5-3 standing.

Miami has a bye week before matching up against the Las Vegas Raiders at home. After that, the team will go on another road trip to face the New York Jets and Washington Commanders.
