Tyreek Hill’s latest comments about Patrick Mahomes show how much he’s looking forward to Fins-Chiefs matchup

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said that he’s looking forward to trash talking Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ahead of the team’s Week 9 matchup with the Chiefs in Germany.

Hill, who began his career with the Chiefs, won a Super Bowl with Mahomes. The reigning league MVP, Mahomes helped Hill have some great seasons with the Chiefs before the franchise traded him to the Dolphins prior to the 2022 season.

The Week 9 matchup between the Dolphins and Chiefs could have huge implications in the AFC standings. Kansas City entered Week 8 with a 6-1 record prior to taking on the Denver Broncos.

The Dolphins, who beat the New England Patriots for the second time this season in Week 8, are now 6-2 this season and a perfect 4-0 at home.

If Miami wants to get the No. 1 seed in the AFC, beating the Chiefs in Germany would be a huge step in the right direction. The wideout also mentioned his disappointment at not being able to play in front of the Chiefs’ fans at Arrowhead Stadium.

Hill had a great career with the Chiefs, posting four 1,000-yard seasons in six campaigns with the franchise. He was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his seasons in Kansas City.

Since coming to the Dolphins, Hill has reached a new gear. Hill finished the 2022 season – his first with Miami – with 119 catches for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns. He also averaged over 100 yards per game even though the team had to play three different quarterbacks (Tua Tagovailoa, Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson) in 2022.

This season, Hill may be even better. The star wideout became the first player in NFL history to have 1,000 or more receiving yards in the first eight games of the season.

He finished the team’s Week 8 win over New England with eight catches for 112 yards and a 42-yard touchdown catch.

There’s no doubt that Hill would love to beat his former team, and it appears he’s willing to chirp his former quarterback in the process.

Mahomes and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl without Hill last season, and they’re hoping to do the same thing in the 2023 season.

The Dolphins and Chiefs could certainly find themselves matched up again in the playoffs, so the Week 9 matchup will be a good test to see where Miami stands against one of the NFL’s best teams.
