Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill provided a hilarious response when talking to reporters about missing Wednesday’s practice with a hip injury.

The 29-year-old is fresh off one of his more forgettable performances of the 2023 regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 22. He finished with 88 receiving yards on 11 receptions — which equates to 8.0 receiving yards per reception — and one receiving touchdown in a game the Dolphins lost 31-17.

His 88 receiving yards marked his third-fewest in any game this season. He racked up just 58 receiving yards against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 1 and 40 receiving yards against the New England Patriots on Sep. 17.

Hill has played for the Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs across his eight seasons in the NFL. He is in his second season with the Dolphins after starting out his NFL career with the Chiefs, who chose him with the No. 165 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The wide receiver is leading the NFL in receiving yards (902), receiving touchdowns (seven) and receiving yards per game (128.9) in seven appearances with the Dolphins this season. Also, he has accumulated 39 first downs receiving.

Hill enjoyed a successful season in his first season with the Dolphins too. He totaled 1,710 receiving yards, 77 first downs receiving and seven receiving touchdowns while averaging 100.6 receiving yards per game across 17 games played with Miami during the 2022 regular season (all starts).

The 5-foot-10 wide receiver finished fourth in the NFL AP Offensive Player of the Year voting a season ago. He totaled 43.0 vote points while the winner, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, earned 192.0 vote points.

It’s great news for Dolphins fans that Hill seems like he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game against the Patriots. New England owns a poor 2-5 record on the season but beat the Bills at home on Oct. 22 by a final score of 29-25.

Quarterback Mac Jones put together one of his better performances of the season in the win, seeing as how he threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns compared to zero interceptions. Jones completed 25 of his 30 passing attempts too.
