Report: Miami Dolphins sign veteran cornerback to replace Trill Williams

1 Min Read

In the fallout of the Miami Dolphins losing Trill Williams for the 2022 season to a major injury, the team has reportedly signed veteran corner Mackensie Alexander.

Alexander, who has played the majority of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, has served as a solid corner throughout his NFL career.

He first entered the league as a second-round pick by the Vikings in the 2016 NFL Draft.

While he has never been a turnover machine and only has three interceptions in his entire NFL career, he has been a solid ball-stopper.

Last season, he played in 16 games for the Vikings and started five of those games. He recorded five passes defended as well as 51 combined tackles.

Alexander will surely look to bolster the Dolphins’ depth at the cornerback position and could seriously challenge to be the third or fourth corner in the rotation.
