It’s already time for Miami Dolphins fans to start marking some dates on their calendars for the 2023 NFL season.

The dates for two Dolphins games were released on Wednesday, and both games are likely going to draw lots of eyeballs.

In Week 9, the Dolphins will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany in Tyreek Hill’s first matchup against his old team. The game will take place on Nov. 5.

Later in the season, the Dolphins will face the New York Jets on Black Friday, which is Nov. 24 this year. That will be a Week 12 affair, and it will mark the NFL’s first Black Friday game in league history.

Both games already have some storylines attached to them.

The Week 9 game against the Chiefs was expected to be played in Kansas City, but instead, it’ll serve as one of several international games in the NFL this season. The location of the game throws a wrench into Hill’s plans of returning to Arrowhead Stadium to face his old squad, but he’s surely excited about playing in Germany.

The Dolphins have an all-time record of 1-4 in international games and will look to improve upon that mark this season. Their Week 9 game will mark their first time playing in Germany in franchise history.

As for the Week 12 game, it’ll certainly be a unique experience for Dolphins fans to watch their team the day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday is always a huge day in the college football world, but this season, the NFL is getting in on the action.

Given the offseason Miami has had so far, expectations are high for the squad as the 2023 season approaches. The Dolphins project to be one of the better teams in the AFC, so when their full schedule gets released, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a handful of their games penciled into some attractive time slots.

The squad went 9-8 in the 2022 regular season before losing a heartbreaker to the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the playoffs. This coming season, Miami is looking to win its first playoff game in over two decades.
