Tyreek Hill likes tweet regarding Caleb Williams’ desire to join to Miami Dolphins

University of Southern California quarterback Caleb Williams turned some heads recently when he stated that the Miami Dolphins are “probably” the NFL team he’d most like to join in the future.

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill seems to be among those who took note of Williams’ words.

Depending on how things go in the 2023 campaign, the Dolphins might find themselves looking for a new quarterback next offseason.

Tua Tagovailoa has dealt with injury issues all throughout his professional career, and if those issues persist during the upcoming campaign, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dolphins look to add another talented quarterback to their roster.

Williams landing with Miami seems pretty unlikely at this point. That’s because he is projected to be one of the top picks in whichever draft he ends up entering. The Heisman Trophy winner is not eligible for this year’s draft and seems like a lock to go near the top of next year’s draft, if he chooses to declare for it.

Miami doesn’t seem like it will be a bad team during the 2023 campaign, and a winning season would leave the team pretty far down the draft order.

However, talented players like Williams have slipped in previous drafts, so there’s always a chance he could end up in South Florida.

The 21-year-old is one of the best players in college football despite just completing his sophomore season with the Trojans. During the 2022 campaign, he completed 66.6 percent of his throws for 4,537 yards, 42 touchdowns and just five picks in 14 games. He added 382 yards and 10 scores on the ground, showing off his ability as a dual-threat playmaker.

Some of his strengths include ball placement, instincts, confidence and athleticism.

As for Tagovailoa, he’s coming off of the best season of his pro career. The University of Alabama product completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions across 13 showings in the 2022 campaign. Unfortunately, he suffered two concussions that cost him multiple games. Tagovailoa sadly missed Miami’s lone playoff game, which was a loss against the Buffalo Bills.

The Dolphins have yet to decide whether or not to pick up Tagovailoa’s fifth-year option, which is set to be worth nearly $23.2 million. Some NFL executives believe that the team shouldn’t pick up that option due to the passer’s health concerns.
