Tyreek Hill staying positive despite ugly Dolphins loss to Chargers: ‘We coming back strong’

Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill isn’t losing hope despite the team’s disappointing loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Hill took to Twitter after the defeat and promised fans that the Dolphins are “coming back strong.”

Sunday night’s game gave the Dolphins a chance to show the league what they’re all about on a national stage. Unfortunately, they didn’t look like themselves for most of the contest.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert outplayed Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in a game that many pundits had circled.

Herbert completed 39 of his 51 passes for 367 yards and a touchdown. Tagovailoa, meanwhile, completed just 10 of his 28 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown.

As for Hill, he did his part. He finished with two touchdowns, including one that came on a Dolphins fumble that he somehow took 57 yards to the house.

But it wasn’t enough, and the Dolphins fell 23-17.

Miami has gone 5-5 since its 3-0 start to the season. At 8-5, the team is now two games back of the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, which is a significant gap at this stage in the season.

The good news is that the Dolphins would still make the playoffs if the season ended today, but they can’t afford too many losses the rest of the way. They have four games remaining in the regular season, and three of them will come against teams that are currently .500 or better.

There’s no question that the Dolphins are still a dangerous squad, and many teams would probably want to avoid them in the postseason. But, getting there has to be Miami’s priority right now, and a win against the Bills this coming Saturday would go a long way toward accomplishing that goal.

As Dolphins fans know all too well, the team hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2016 campaign. What’s more, the organization hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2000 season. There are plenty of Dolphins fans that weren’t alive the last time the team recorded a playoff victory.

It’s time for that to change, and the Dolphins surely have every intention of making that happen.
