Tyreek Hill believes Jaylen Waddle doesn’t get enough credit: ‘Kind of similar like me early on in my career’

Between Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, the Miami Dolphins have no shortage of star talent at the wide receiver position.

While both players have been electric for the Dolphins this season, Hill believes that Waddle doesn’t get enough credit for “what he truly does.”

“I feel like a guy like Jaylen Waddle doesn’t get enough credit for what he truly does, kind of similar like me early on in my career,” Hill said.

Hill has had such an impressive season that Waddle’s production has perhaps been overlooked by some. After a solid rookie campaign, the 23-year-old has taken a step forward this year and is on pace to surpass many of his numbers from last season.

So far this season, Waddle has 51 receptions for 878 yards and six touchdowns. He’s also done a fantastic job of staying on the field, as he’s appeared in all 10 of Miami’s games.

Last season, he missed just one game. He has been extremely reliable for the Dolphins from both a production and availability standpoint.

Waddle has definitely given the Dolphins what they hoped they were getting when they scooped him up in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Hill, meanwhile, has made a major impact in his first season with the Dolphins. He leads the league in several key categories, including receptions (81), receiving yards (1,148) and receiving yards per game (114.8).

Waddle and Hill have been outstanding as a duo, and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has done a really nice job of getting the ball to his star receivers.

The Dolphins currently lead the AFC East with a 7-3 lead. The Buffalo Bills also have a 7-3 record, but Miami holds the tiebreaker thanks to its Week 3 win over Buffalo.

Miami has seven games remaining in the regular season, and with a strong finish, the team will likely find itself in the playoffs for the first time in years. Dolphins fans are itching for that to happen.

If Miami does indeed crack the postseason, perhaps Waddle will start to get the type of recognition that Hill believes he deserves.

The Dolphins will host the Houston Texans in Week 12 with a chance to get to 8-3 on the season.
