Miami Dolphins list 6 players as inactive for game vs. Cleveland Browns

It was reported earlier that the Miami Dolphins will be without the services of Teddy Bridgewater for their Sunday matchup against the Cleveland Browns. In addition, the team has listed five other players as inactive.

The team will be without a couple of wide receivers with the absences of Erik Ezukanma and River Cracraft. However, fellow receiver Trent Sherfield is active after popping up on the injury report Sunday morning.

It’ll be interesting to see how many snaps Sherfield gets.

If the 26-year-old wide receiver is limited, then that could create more opportunities for Cedrick Wilson Jr. The bulk of the wide receiver targets still fall in the hands of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, of course, but having other options is important.

Interestingly, Ezukanma has still yet to see action on the field this season. Heading into the 2022 campaign, the rookie receiver was among the Dolphins’ training camp standouts. Mike McDaniel praised the Texas Tech University product for his strong showing. However, it is common for rookie receivers to see very little to no playing time.

One of the most notable absences for Miami in Week 10 is Noah Igbinoghene. The absence will snap a streak of five straight appearances for the 2020 first-round pick.

As for Myles Gaskin, he has not suited up since the Dolphins’ Week 5 contest against the New York Jets. It has been an unfortunate season for the 25-year-old running back, as he has appeared in just two games in the 2022 campaign.

Last season, he played in all 17 games, starting 10 of them. But with the team’s depth at the position, Gaskin remains doubtful to suit up in any meaningful games this season.

With their core players healthy and suiting up, the Dolphins should have a good chance of defeating the Browns and extending their winning streak to four. A win would keep Miami in the mix to catch the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
