Jaylen Waddle fends off haters after claiming he can hoop like Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker

The sports world was watching the 2022 NBA Playoffs on Monday night, and it appears Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle tuned in for a big matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks.

During the game, Waddle tweeted out that he plays ball like Suns superstar Devin Booker. It wasn’t long before fans called him out on the claim.

There were some pretty hilarious interactions, which surely brought smiles to a lot of Dolphins fans’ faces. Surely, Waddle does not actually believe that he is as good of a basketball player as Booker. However, there is no doubt that he is just as impressive of an athlete.

Waddle is already considered to be one of the fastest players in the NFL. He put his talents on full display last season during his rookie campaign.

He also proved all season long that he has incredibly quick feet. He was able to get separation from defenders early and often thanks to his impressive shiftiness.

Surely, he uses that speed and quickness on the basketball court whenever he laces up his sneakers. Where his game might struggle somewhat, however, is in the height department.

Unlike Booker, who is 6-foot-5, Waddle stands at 5-foot-10. While it is not unheard of for shorter players to make it to the NBA, it is less common.

Either way, it’s cool to see that Waddle is enjoying the NBA playoffs. While he clearly likes Booker and his game, Waddle would be wise to root solely for the Miami Heat in their series. The Heat currently have a 1-0 advantage in their series against the Philadelphia 76ers.
