Jevon Holland offers inspiring message to prospects ahead of 2022 NFL Draft
- Updated: April 28, 2022

Though the Miami Dolphins will have a far smaller footprint on this year’s NFL draft compared to recent years, young safety Jevon Holland is still keeping a close eye on what is to come.
Last year, Holland was selected by the Dolphins in the second round with the No. 36 overall pick. It may have been something of a disappointment for the University of Oregon product, who had been given first-round grades by many draft analysts.
He didn’t let that disappointment stop him, however. He went on to put in a highly impressive rookie season for the Dolphins, starting in 13 of 16 games he played in. He was quickly pegged as a future star at the safety position.
Perhaps that is why Holland took to social media on Thursday morning to send out a message of encouragement and support to the hundreds of players who are about to have their names called in the 2022 NFL Draft.
What ever happens, happens. Just make the best of the opportunity about it

Holland certainly made the best out of his opportunity with the Dolphins. In his 13 starts, he logged two interceptions, 10 passes defended, three fumble recoveries, 2.5 sacks and 48 solo tackles. He proved from the very beginning of the season that he is made of the stuff that players need to enjoy success at the NFL level.
In the 2022 season, Holland will surely enjoy far greater responsibility on the defensive side for the Dolphins. The team has focused primarily on the offense this offseason, but the defense is still loaded with talent.
If both units can play to their ability in the 2022 season, the Dolphins should be able to finally get over the hump and advance to the postseason.
