Miami Dolphins rookie ZaQuandre White scored a nice touchdown in the team’s preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

He caught a pass from fellow rookie Skylar Thompson in the fourth quarter of the match and proceeded to take the ball into the end zone. The touchdown allowed the Dolphins to tie the contest at 12 points apiece with more than 10 minutes remaining in the match.

After the game, White’s teammates made sure to hype him up.

Miami ultimately lost the game after Las Vegas connected on a field goal with over four minutes left in the contest. Still, it served as a good learning experience for the squad.

The game was starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s preseason debut. Most of the team’s starters also suited up. However, newly acquired wide receiver Tyreek Hill did not play. Tagovailoa finished the evening completing six of his eight passes for 58 yards.

While the Dolphins were able to somewhat visualize what their offense will look like once the regular season starts, it was two of the team’s rookies who stole the show.

Thompson completed nine of his 10 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown.

As for White, it was certainly a night to remember. The undrafted rookie might not crack the Dolphins’ rotation for the the regular season, but he surely made the most of the opportunity he was given on Saturday.

Miami will face the Philadelphia Eagles next Saturday for the last of its three preseason games. After that, it will open the regular season against the New England Patriots.
