Tyrann Mathieu’s ecstatic reaction to Miami Dolphins legend rejoining team in coaching role

On Wednesday, it was reported that the Miami Dolphins were hiring team legend Sam Madison to join the team’s coaching staff.

With the move, the four-time Pro Bowler will leave the Kansas City Chiefs to head to South Florida.

Chiefs star defensive back Tyrann Mathieu took some time out of his day to offer heavy praise for Madison and assure Dolphins fans that they are getting a great addition to their favorite team’s staff.

This is a pretty fantastic sign of how Madison connects with his players. Without a doubt, Mathieu and Madison have spent many long days together. For Mathieu to take the time to celebrate this news in such an enthusiastic way is pretty telling.

Madison spent the majority of his playing career with the Dolphins. He was drafted by the Dolphins with the No. 44 overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. He went on to play with the team through the 2005 season.

He received many accolades during that span. Following his wonderful tenure with the Dolphins, Madison went on to play for the New York Giants.

Madison won a Super Bowl with the Giants in the 2007 season.

He last played in the league during the 2008 campaign. Clearly, he is already starting to make a very good name for himself in his new chosen career as an NFL coach.

In recent years, defense has been a strength for the Dolphins. Surely, Madison will play a role in trying to make sure that reputation remains for a very long time.
