Report: Miami Dolphins hiring Frank Smith as new offensive coordinator

1 Min Read

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has reportedly made another key addition to his coaching staff by hiring Frank Smith as the team’s offensive coordinator.

The move comes just days after Smith was interviewed by the team. It seems like Smith’s solid contributions with the Los Angeles Chargers were a key factor in him getting the job with Miami.

His contributions with L.A. played a role in the Chargers scoring 27.9 points per game during the 2021 regular season. With Miami, the hope is that he can help bring out the best in Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

McDaniel continues to work at a furious pace in filling out his staff. The future looks bright in Miami.
