Report: Miami Dolphins linked to Amari Cooper and D.J. Chark

This offseason, the Miami Dolphins have a clear goal of improving on the offensive side of the ball and building around young quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

For that reason, it should not come as much of a shock that the Dolphins are already being linked to some notable offensive players.

Based on a recent report, two players that the Dolphins are looking at are wide receivers Amari Cooper and D.J. Chark.

Of course, the Dolphins used the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on talented youngster Jaylen Waddle. He had a fantastic rookie year, finishing with 104 catches for 1015 yards and six touchdowns.

However, he can’t do it alone, and adding another premier talent on the other side of the field would instantly make life easier for Waddle and Tagovailoa.

When it comes to Cooper and Chark, the Dolphins are looking at a proven and productive veteran in Cooper and a young but somewhat unproven talent in Chark.

Cooper is a four-time Pro Bowler. Last season, he finished with 68 catches for 865 yards and eight touchdowns.

As for Chark, he only played in four games last season. In the previous season, he finished with 53 catches for 706 yards and five touchdowns. He’s just 25 years old. Cooper is 27.

There are a number of other intriguing options at the receiver position that the Dolphins will likely discuss as well. Whatever happens, it’s great to hear that they are already looking to put themselves in position to acquire a new talent at the position.

By the time the 2022 season begins, the Dolphins surely are hoping to have a different and improved look on the offensive side of the ball.
