Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is suing the NFL and all 32 teams as part of a racial discrimination class action lawsuit.
The lawsuit is a bombshell that comes in the aftermath of Flores’ surprising dismissal last month. That decision by the Dolphins came after Flores had led the team to wins in eight of their last nine games to finish 9-8 on the year.
Flores was hired as Dolphins head coach in 2019 and served in that capacity for three seasons, compiling an overall record of 24-25. During his final two seasons, the Dolphins came up just short in their bid for the postseason.
After Flores was fired, reports of conflicts with players and coaches soon surfaced. In addition, he was also reported to be angling for more power within the organization.
There’s no indication how soon the case will be heard or if it will even end up reaching the courtroom. Regardless of the eventual result, the case figures to resonate during the offseason.
