Report: Miami Dolphins activate 2 players from reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of crucial matchup

The Miami Dolphins announced on Friday that both wide receiver Albert Wilson and offensive lineman Solomon Kindley have been activated off of the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Wilson has caught 25 passes for 213 yards this season, while also rushing the ball four times for 17 yards. The 29-year-old veteran had started five games in a row before being placed on the reserve list after the Dolphins’ Dec. 19 win over the New York Jets.

In that five-game span, Wilson collected 17 of those receptions and played a part in helping the Dolphins keep their lengthy winning streak alive.

Kindley was a fourth-round pick of the Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft, but has largely been used in a reserve capacity for most of this season.

The returns of both Wilson and Kindley are a bright spot for the Dolphins as they get ready to try to complete an incredible comeback by reaching the postseason.

The Dolphins began the season with a victory, but then dropped their next seven contests. Despite being on the verge of elimination at that point, they’ve managed to run off seven straight wins since that time.

On Sunday, they face a tough test on the road against the Tennessee Titans. A win will not only keep their winning streak alive, but also clinch a winning season.

If the Dolphins emerge with a win over the Titans, they’ll close out the regular season with a home matchup against the New England Patriots on Jan. 9.
