The Miami Dolphins fell to 1-6 on the season as they dropped a heartbreaker to the Atlanta Falcons, 30-28, in Week 7.
Cornerback Xavien Howard came away with a huge interception in the fourth quarter with the Dolphins trailing 20-14, but starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw an interception of his own on the ensuing drive.
With the Dolphins dropping their sixth straight game, trade rumors are beginning to heat up in regards to the team potentially landing Deshaun Watson.
The Dolphins are reportedly the team to beat in the running for Watson, and second-year quarterback Tagovailoa would surely be included in any trade for the Houston Texans quarterback.
After Miami’s loss to Atlanta, Tagovailoa addressed the rumors himself and said that he hasn’t been paying them much attention.
Tagovailoa completed 32 of 40 passes on the day with four touchdowns, but threw two crucial interceptions.
Next up, the Dolphins face the division-leading Buffalo Bills in Week 8. Time will tell if Tagovailoa is still in a Miami uniform at that time.
