The Miami Dolphins will be missing a key player when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Wide receiver DeVante Parker will reportedly sit out the match after sustaining a hamstring injury.
This is certainly bad news for Dolphins fans who had been hoping that Parker would be healthy enough to suit up for the team’s Week 5 game. Dolphins head coach Brian Flores stated a couple of days ago that the 28-year-old could end up being a game-time decision.
Playing without Parker does not bode well for the organization as it is already missing Will Fuller, who was placed on injured reserve early this week. Additionally, the team’s depth at the wide receiver position took a hit after it traded Jakeem Grant to the Chicago Bears.
Miami had been planning to get Parker more involved on offense, particularly early in the game. But with him gone for at least one game, the coaching staff might need to adjust its offensive plans.
The Dolphins are currently in a 1-3 hole. They are looking to get back on the winning track even though the injury bug has hit some of their key players.
