The injury that ended the day for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Will Fuller on Sunday has been diagnosed as a broken finger.
Moreover, it looks like he’s going to miss some time as a result.
Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald passed on the information.
“Dolphins wide receiver Will Fuller broke a finger in the team’s 27-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday and is week-to-week, according to the NFL Network,” wrote Oyefusi. “Fuller sustained the injury in the second quarter of the game. He went to the locker room and did not return. Fuller played 14 snaps and caught one pass for six yards.”
Prior to Sunday’s one grab, Fuller had only three receptions on the season. He missed the first two games of the year.
The 27-year-old Fuller is in his first season with the Dolphins after signing with the team during the offseason in free agency.
Exactly when Fuller’s status for Sunday’s road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be determined is unknown. However, the Dolphins are in desperate need of a victory after dropping their last three contests.
