On Friday, Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores offered some insight regarding the recovery of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
“He’s getting a little better every day,” Flores said. “We’re kind of in this-day-to-day space and we’ll have a little bit more time to make a decision, to gather some more information.”
So far, the Dolphins have only ruled Tagovailoa out for Week 3. One sports doctor said recently that the youngster is likely to miss multiple weeks with his injury, but nothing of that nature has been confirmed by the team.
Miami is surely hoping to get Tagovailoa back as soon as possible. The 23-year-old led the Dolphins to a crucial win in their Week 1 game before exiting the team’s Week 2 matchup in the first quarter.
Jacoby Brissett will have to run the offense in Tagovailoa’s absence. Brissett has experience as a starter at the NFL level, but most Dolphins fans would rather see Tagovailoa at the helm of the offense.
Miami is 1-1 on the season and will look to get its second win of the season this weekend. The team will have to deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to do so.
