Report: Miami Dolphins expected to make big change to offensive line vs. Las Vegas Raiders

According to a report, the Miami Dolphins are going to make a major change to their offensive line ahead of the team’s Week 3 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

It sounds like Solomon Kindley will hit the bench to pave the way for Liam Eichenberg to start.

“According to team sources, Solomon Kindley – who started the first two games at left guard – is expected to go to the bench against Las Vegas and rookie second-round pick Liam Eichenberg is expected to be inserted as a starter on Sunday, barring another change of heart by the staff during practices this week,” wrote Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

For now, this is the only change the Dolphins are expected to make, though they are reportedly discussing the possibility of making more.

Miami’s offensive line was one of the worst in the NFL last season. Fans were hoping to see the unit take a step forward in the 2021 campaign, but so far, there has been very little improvement.

Eichenberg started for the Dolphins in Week 1, but he didn’t start in Week 2. He’ll be back in as a starter this Sunday in a big matchup against Las Vegas.

Time will tell if he’s up for the task. Miami is clearly willing to take some risks in order to give the offensive line a chance at improving.
