Report: Noah Igbinoghene listed as healthy scratch for 2nd straight game

Miami Dolphins cornerback Noah Igbinoghene will reportedly miss his second straight game even though he is not nursing any injury.

The 21-year-old has had a rough past several months. During this year’s training camp, he had the opportunity to show the team that he is worthy of a spot in the starting lineup while Xavien Howard was holding out in search of a new deal. However, Igbinoghene failed to impress the organization, leaving him at the back end of the depth chart.

Based on the fact that he has been a healthy scratch for the first two weeks of the season, it seems that his stock is not rising anytime soon.

Last year, the Dolphins selected him in the first round of the draft. He was expected to be among the franchise’s promising young core, especially after a strong training camp. Unfortunately for the youngster, he struggled heavily in his rookie season.

It might be too early to tell if Igbinoghene will turn out to be a bust. But it should also be noted that he began his collegiate career playing in the wide receiver position before transitioning to cornerback in his sophomore season.
