The Miami Dolphins made many moves on Tuesday in order to get their roster down to 53 players for the start of the regular season.
Among the notable cuts are Benardrick McKinney, Shaquem Griffin and Matt Skura.
The releasings of McKinney and Skura had been reported on Monday. As for Griffin, he reportedly has a high chance of landing on the team’s practice squad.
The Dolphins’ regular-season opener is on Sept. 12 against the New England Patriots, so there is time for more moves to be made, should that be something the team wants.
It will surely be interesting to see if the Dolphins make any more changes to the roster.
Miami will be hoping that it can build on its 10-6 record from last season and make it back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season.
