Report: Miami Dolphins WR Allen Hurns expected to miss 3 months with latest injury
- Updated: August 16, 2021
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Allen Hurns’ wrist injury is expected to keep him off the field for the next three months, delaying what was supposed to be a comeback season.
Dolphins’ WR Allen Hurns has a wrist injury that will require surgery and he is expected to miss three months, per source.

He didn’t see action in Saturday’s preseason clash between the Dolphins and Chicago Bears.
Hurns signed with the Dolphins in 2019 after the Miami native, who played collegiately at the University of Miami, had played five seasons in the NFL. In that first season with the Dolphins, he caught 32 passes for 416 yards and two touchdowns.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, Hurns opted out of the 2020 NFL season and had hoped to make his mark among a stronger Dolphins passing attack.
Exactly how quickly Hurns can rehabilitate his surgically repaired wrist is uncertain, though the Dolphins are hoping that he beats the three-month projection.
