The Miami Dolphins have been in an uncomfortable spot in recent days since the public trade request of Xavien Howard.
However, Dolphins head coach Brain Flores gave a sanguine update on contract discussions between Howard and the franchise.

Since the 28-year-old Howard felt undervalued for his amazing production in recent years, he made his trade request known to the masses.
The cornerback led the NFL with 10 interceptions and 20 defended passes last year. He’s ascended as one of the best corners in the league.
As a result, other teams have inquired about Howard’s availability. Still, the Dolphins are optimistic they can work things out.
In fact, Flores believes Howard is an invaluable part of the Dolphins’ future.
