With the Miami Dolphins training camp set to open soon, the team handled some personnel matters on Friday through a trio of transactions.

The Dolphins signed wide receiver Isaiah Ford to a new contract, while releasing center Tyler Gauthier and safety Brian Cole.

Ford was a seventh-round selection by the Dolphins in the 2017 NFL Draft and made his debut the following season.

In his 19 career games with the Dolphins, Ford has caught 51 passes for 520 yards and has also ran the ball once for 11 yards. Last season, he caught 28 passes for 276 yards.

Gauthier originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots in 2019, and he has also been a part of the Jacksonville Jaguars organization. He was signed by the Dolphins last September and spent the season’s final 15 games on the Dolphins’ practice squad.

Cole was drafted in the seventh round last year by the Minnesota Vikings, and after being signed by the Dolphins, spent the entire 2020 season on the team’s practice squad.

The Dolphins open their training camp on July 27, and after three preseason contests, open up the 2021 campaign on the road against the Patriots on Sept. 12.
