Chris Grier issues strong message of confidence regarding Tua Tagovailoa taking ‘next step’

Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier believes that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is ready to take the next step.

As a rookie, Tagovailoa started nine games for the Dolphins and finished with a 6-3 record.

He threw for 1,814 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions, but there is certainly room for improvement in his second season.

Grier believes that Tagovailoa will continue to build on his past where he has been a winner at every level that he has played.

The Dolphins have tried to set Tagovailoa up for success by adding wide receiver Will Fuller to their offense this offseason.

Miami will also have several draft picks at its disposal to help improve its roster around Tagovailoa.

After being taken with the No. 5 overall pick in last year’s draft, Tagovailoa will try to take the next step as a player to lead the Dolphins to the playoffs after they went 10-6 last season.
