Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa reportedly had one of the best-selling jerseys in the NFL this season.

Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has already become one of the NFL’s most popular players,” ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe wrote. “Tagovailoa was the third-highest-selling player and the top-selling rookie of official NFL merchandise across the Fanatics network during the 2020 regular season.

“Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady finished first and second, respectively. Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson and Mahomes were the top-sellers during the 2019 regular season.”

It is an impressive feat for Tagovailoa and shows just how popular he is among the league’s fans.

Tagovailoa’s No. 1 jersey was a staple at Hard Rock Stadium among the fans who were able to attend games.

It is also impressive that he was ahead of established quarterbacks such as Jackson, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers.

Tagovailoa took over for Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Dolphins’ starting quarterback in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams. He finished his rookie season with a 6-3 record. The Dolphins missed the playoffs despite going 10-6.

Tagovailoa will look to improve in his second season on the field, and that may improve his jersey sales even more.
