Report: Signs pointing to Buffalo Bills resting Josh Allen in Sunday’s game vs. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins’ regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday could see Bills’ backup quarterback Matt Barkley get “meaningful snaps” in place of regular starter Josh Allen.

The Bills have already clinched the AFC East and are currently locked in a battle for the second seed in the conference playoff standings.

Despite the potential of dropping down one spot if the Pittsburgh Steelers win their game, the Bills appear to be willing to rest players in preparation for the postseason.

Barkley taking over quarterback duties during the upcoming game could benefit the Dolphins, who are currently locked in a battle for a playoff spot.

Barkley is in his third season with the Bills, but has seen minimal time on the field during his time with the team. He’s only seen action in seven games over that time and has completed five of his eight pass attempts this season.
