Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores reflected on the Dolphins’ 56-26 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday and noted that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa needs to play better in the future.
Tagovailoa completed 38 of 58 passes for 361 yards and threw for one touchdown, but also threw three interceptions on the afternoon. While the yardage was a career high for the rookie, the three picks surpassed the two he had thrown all season.
After taking a 3-0 lead into the second quarter, the Dolphins watched the Bills outscore them 28-3 in the next 15 minutes to take control of the game.
The loss may very well keep the Dolphins out of the postseason, with the team needing the Jacksonville Jaguars to spring a major upset on the Indianapolis Colts.
That prospect seems unlikely with the Jaguars in possession of the NFL’s worst record with a 1-14 record entering the matchup with the Colts.
