Tua Tagovailoa reacts to Ryan Fitzpatrick winning game for Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa offered a rousing endorsement of fellow signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick’s clutch game-winning drive on Saturday night.

The reason it may have been shocking to viewers watching the game on television was because the Las Vegas Raiders had seemingly clinched the game with a 22-yard field goal with 19 seconds left, which gave the Raiders a 25-23 lead.

After the Dolphins got the ball on their own 25-yard line following a touchback, Fitzpatrick somehow managed to complete a pass to Dolphins wide receiver Mack Hollins at the Raider 41.

The amazing aspect of Fitzpatrick’s completion was that he was the recipient of a face mask on the play, which added 15 more yards to the play and put the ball at the Raider 26.

Following an incompletion, the Dolphins brought on Jason Sanders to kick a 44-yard field goal to win the game, 26-25.

Tagovailoa had started the game but was replaced by Fitzpatrick, a change from the midseason move when the rookie took over the starting job for Fitzpatrick.

However, with the Dolphins battling for a playoff berth, Tagovailoa was more than happy to give way to the veteran’s experience in crucial situations.
