Report: Signs pointing to Julian Edelman playing vs. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins need a win this Sunday if they want to remain in the playoff hunt.

In order to do that, they’ll have to dispatch of the New England Patriots. Though the Pats are just 6-7 on the season, they could be getting back a serious offensive weapon that they’ve been without for much of the current campaign.

“The Dolphins must prepare for Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, who made his return to practice this week after missing seven games following a knee surgery, the same way they hope New England prepares for Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki this week,” Safid Deen of the Sun Sentinel wrote.

“Patriots coach Bill Belichick considers Edelman as day to day, but it’s possible New England could activate him for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.”

The Dolphins know how dangerous Edelman can be when he’s healthy. They also know that their defense in the passing game has been one of their clear strengths this season.

After all, Xavien Howard has already gobbled up an incredible nine interceptions this season.

Without a doubt, the Dolphins are getting ready to possibly see Edelman this Sunday.

Ultimately, whether or not the three-time champ ends up suiting up changes very little for what the Dolphins need to do this weekend.

A convincing win against their divisional rivals would set the Dolphins up to finish the season strong.
