Brian Flores sidesteps questions about possibly bringing back WR Kenny Stills

The Miami Dolphins have a dire need for some depth at the wide receiver position.

For that reason, there have been some rumblings that the Dolphins could seek to bring back former Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills.

Stills and the Houston Texans parted ways a couple of weeks ago, and the veteran speedster remains on the market.

When reporters asked Dolphins head coach Brian Flores about the possibility of bringing Stills back to aid rookie passer Tua Tagovailoa, he sidestepped the topic.

“That’s more of a Chris Grier question,” Flores said.

“He and [Vice President of Football Administration] Brandon [Shore] and [Assistant General Manager] Marvin [Allen], they handle all that and those conversations,” Flores continued.

Clearly, Flores has no intention of letting the media in on his team’s plans going forward.

Regardless, there is a clear need for added receiver talent on the Dolphins. The Dolphins are missing Preston Williams due to a foot injury.

Jakeem Grant left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury and is not currently expected to be ready to play this Sunday.

DeVante Parker also suffered an injury on Sunday, and while his prognosis is a bit more positive for this weekend, nothing is guaranteed.

On the season, Stills has just 11 receptions for 144 yards and one touchdown. Those are clearly not gaudy numbers, but there is no doubt that he would be able to come in and add an extra pair of veteran hands for Tagovailoa to target.

Only time will tell if the Dolphins make any changes to their roster as the 2020 regular season starts to wind to a close.
