Brian Flores pinpoints what went wrong in Miami Dolphins loss to Kansas City Chiefs

The Miami Dolphins watched an early 10-0 advantage turn into a 33-27 defeat, with Dolphins head coach Brian Flores zeroing in on the team’s execution as a reason for the loss.

After the Dolphins took that 10-0 lead, the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs ran off 30 unanswered points and then were able to hold off a determined fourth-quarter comeback by the Dolphins.

Flores watched the Dolphins struggle to start the second half as the Chiefs scored a touchdown on the first series of the third quarter. After stopping the Dolphins on a quick three-and-out, the Chiefs then scored on the subsequent punt return to make it 28-10.

Later in the third quarter, the Chiefs picked up two more points on a safety after rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was sacked in the end zone.

The win for the Chiefs clinched the AFC West title for them, while the Dolphins continue to try and stay viable for a playoff berth with an 8-5 record.

Next week, the Dolphins face the New England Patriots in the final regular season home game and look to gain revenge for their season-opening loss to the Patriots.
