Flowers is in his first season with the Dolphins after having been acquired in free agency during the offseason.
Prior to his signing with the Dolphins, Flowers was the ninth overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft by the New York Giants and has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Football Team.
While Flowers may potentially return to Sunday’s game, the Dolphins can’t really afford to lose him for any extended period.
Following Sunday’s game, the Dolphins face a challenging final four games as they make a bid for a playoff berth.
