Report: Miami Dolphins place wide receiver Preston Williams on injured reserve

The Miami Dolphins will be without the services of wide receiver Preston Williams for at least the next three weeks after he was placed on the injured reserve list due to a foot injury.

Williams suffered a sprained foot during the Dolphins’ win on Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals, leaving the game after grabbing four passes. He will miss at least the next three weeks, which could make him eligible to return for the Dec. 6 game at Hard Rock Stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 23-year-old Williams is in his second season with the Dolphins after signing with the team last year as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State University.

Prior to the injury, Williams had 18 receptions and four touchdowns on the year after catching 32 passes and scoring three times during his rookie campaign.

The Dolphins will look to build on their four-game winning streak by inserting players like Jakeem Grant and potential options like Antonio Callaway, who’s currently on the team’s practice squad.
